[Update #3] YG OUTRAGE; will contact RQM…Se7en U.S. debut over?

The Internet is buzzing with rumors that Se7en will not be coming back to the U.S. as YG entertainment pulled the plug!

As you know, Se7en music video appeared on BET’s 106 & Park and RQM got Johnny Wright to co-managed his career. Things were looking up for him…or so we thought.

I was never a big fan of RQM and thought they did a shitty job of managing Se7en but I was hoping they would prove me wrong.

Let’s hope RQM and YG entertainment have a good explanation for this because it’s a publicity nightmare and fans are undoubtedly pissed off.

UPDATE#3

  • Says that YG hasn’t been able to contact RQM yet because of the time difference; they’re planning on contacting them to see if that article(on allkpop) is their official statement.
  • When Se7en came back to Korea YG stated that he’s here because of his personal issues, however it has already been two months since he’s been in Korea now.
  • In Se7en’s cyworld one of his friends wrote, “Everything’s going to be okay. Receive the calls. I’m worried” “The company’s totally outraged”. Fans are worried.
  • The contract’s ended but Se7en’s going to continue with his US promotions.
  • Reason why Se7en came back to Korea is very personal. Lots of friction between RQM and YG that was exposed; YG was planning on signing a contract with another agency after their contract with RQM ended.
  • Se7en signed a contract with YG two years before he went to the states, and there is still about 3 years left on their contract. Not planning on doing activities in Asia.

    UPDATE #2

The contract with RQM ended recently and YG’s saying they ended everything peacefully. YG can’t understand why RQM is saying this. Also YG’s saying that they’ve never received an offer for Se7en to work with Justin Timberlake. Se7en is not planning on doing any activities in Korea this year either. Also RQM failed to fulfill all the contract details; the contract term’s over so YG didn’t renew the contract.

    UPDATE:

YG’s saying that they’re not done with the activities in the states and they’re planning right now. They’re saying that there’s nothing that they’ve made a solid decision on. YG’s saying that it’s just a rumor. They’re saying that its nonsense saying Se7en’s agency is being an obstacle for Se7en’s US activities. Again they’re saying it’s just rumors and they’re going to contact RQM to see how these articles were published.

Sighs… he wasted so many years being silent in the US with a few leaked songs (not really GOOD ones btw -.-) here and there, a fancy myspace and a fancy website with a little contest and one single and mv =/

Extremely disappointing… especially if all those things RQM had lined up were legit. Looks like Se7en is going to go to the army… and disappear forever after that?

    2. YG Family FAN says:

    5. meena says:

ugh, dang, i agree with cat. it’s like a big waste after putting so much effort into all of the minor details. i hope he comes back to korea sometime in the near future. i just want another korean album from him since it’s been so long.

    6. medirin says:

I didn’t expect Se7en’s US debut to be a huge success, but I didn’t expect YG to pull the plug so suddenly. He wasted 2 and a half years of Se7en’s life just when his career was taking off in Asia. I don’t understand what YG is planning for Se7en. I hope it’s a Korean comeback and not the army. He’s only 24! He doesn’t have to enlist right now. I’m really sad for Se7en and hope things will work out for him in the end. He’s an amazing talent and a sweetheart. I’m still waiting on official statements from RQM, YG, or Se7en, but who knows how long that will take… (Sorry for the long comment.)

helzz yea im pissed off v.v
i dont know if he could gain all his good publicity after he comes back
i think making it big then disappearing for while would have been better
than having a toe in and pulling just as you were about to make it big

sad though. i was so mad when i heard this news
      now im just disappointed v.v

Here YG’s saying that Se7en’s here in Korea for family celebrations etc. but he’s planning on going back to the States soon. They’re saying that its non-sense saying Se7en’s agency is being an obstacle for Se7en’s US activities. Again they’re saying it’s just rumors and they’re going to contact RQM to see how these articles were published.

      Omgsh o.o wow.

Thats great! But… is the JT collab true still though?

    11. Sophia says:

Thank you Beau. I’ve updated the post to reflect the new information. RQM worked exclusively with that site who posted the article and according to them, someone from RQM told them. YG doesn’t know that RQM is working with this site and passing on information?

    12. rYAn says:

Even if it for the hype. Why not. This is really fast response from YG.

    13. medirin says:

This only makes me hate RQM more. It’s like they’re talking without knowing the facts. I feel sorry for Se7en. I hope all the great opportunities RQM promised are true.

It better be true >< if anything they'll have to own up… i wonder if RQM and allkpop's relationship will be over because of this? Because RQM is going to want to save face and blame someone in the company… =/

    16. Cat says:

dang. o.o so is Se7en now unsigned? Eesh this could hurt him with getting signed to another label >< all of the "He said, well they said" . Darn.

Dude, Se7en can't catch a break this year can he?

    17. tujuh says:

      the question is????
      what happened to SE7EN next???

    18. tujuh says:

**what will happen to SE7EN’s career next??

    19. MissLadyBunny says:

I can’t disagree with the fact he did had horrible people manage him while in the states. “Girls” was a bomb of a song to debut in the states even with Lil Kim. Doesn’t matter shit is shit. He should have been hook up with a better producer. Now Wonder Girls are here..somewhere and Crown J did a show I believe in NY area. Rain is suppose to be doing things here in states. I think that was a mix up from Black Eye Peas giving him approval. Like i said in soompi he has to find better management and take over his career more. He has to be 10x’s more aggressive then he was in Korea in order to make a wave a splash here in the states. Many independent artist here and mainstream artist fighting to be number 1. He has to be more serious then ever and very determine this is just a set back. I seriously think Big Bang should be here though as will as se7en. Kpop artist gotta catch the American public ear and come with their best swagger.

Se7en needs to take a vacation and spend some time with his girl.
^_^ he deserves a break from touring and music. Spend some time with family.

    20. linly says:

I knew it had something to do with contract or money… well good news to me that SE7EN is not out of the game yet…

    21. txye says:

oh heck yeah im mad…they didnt even do shit for se7en i understand yg cant do much his not his place but gosh…se7en literally got no where..poor kid all he got was some image changing, learning english(which he could have had taebin taught him and stayed in korea), some relaxing time in the US….seriously i agree its the management…obviously seems like they didnt give a damn about him

    22. tania says:

Se7en must be the most hurt person reading those news.
2 years he spent in States but he’d only releasing 1 single..)’:

    23. smileyTART says:

you know, i’m just really confused right now. Who to trust? honestly, i’m on YG’s side with this. I just don’t think that RQM was a good company for se7en to sign with in the first place.
I’m going to wait for more info because i’m still not getting what’s going on.

    24. Jess says:

r u serious that’s it..after how many years of preparation it’s over.. this is interesting.. RQM spreading the news..and now YG get’s back.. let’s see what else comes out..poor se7en stuck in the middle of all this..

    25. bee says:

RQM was doing a terrible job of promoting se7en, anyhow. he’s been in the states for 2 years already…if I wasn’t following him, I’d have no idea he was in the states. I don’t even follow WG/Rain and yet I know they’re in the states >_>

if that whole JT collab/Johnny Wright thing was actually legit, I guess it’s a pretty big blow to se7en’s career. if not, doesn’t sound like much of a loss to me. hopefully this gets resolved soon

    26. yeahwhatever says:

lol RQM is just pissed they aren’t getting anymore money from YG. Oh please with the utter crap of their bull shit about JT, JW, or etc. those people want big $$$ from YG and he ain’t cutting it. All of them are business men/people whatever and money comes first there’s no such thing as free money or such in the industry and they know they aren’t getting any of it from YG. & allkpop saying damage control LOL LOL LOL

    37. gee says:

Gahd, isn’t RQM stupid or WHAT?!
GAHD! Allkpop lost my support. foreals.
They just sided with RQM without having
any proof from YG. what the eff. Docs?!
      Yeah, well, lets see them.
RQM is an unknown company, why the heck did YG even
sign with them in the first place. gahd.
RQM is just pissed cause YG didn’t sign back
      with them. they sucked.
      this is ruining RQM’s & Allkpops;
      I hope they are running.

    38. Loco_Roco says:

I have no idea what’s going on. O_O Since I don’t know wha RQM does for Se7en or whatever… but this sounds messed up. Can someone please clarify the situation for me? YG and RQM had a contract to promote Se7en in the US? O_O

    40. tofu says:

i was PO-ed at YG at first, but its good to hear that it’s not their fault entirely. RQM effed up somewhere because ALLKPOP and not a legit news source was the first one to come out the this news…really now…

poor Se7en…the guy must be freaking out now…

    41. Sophia says:

Nai: RQM (red queen media) is Se7en US management company. They had a contract with YG to promote se7en in the states for his US debut.

Allkpop stated that an “inside source” from RQM says YG pulled Se7en from the states. YG stated that it’s not true, their contract has ended and Se7en is still planning on during promotional activities.

    42. jx009 says:

Finally some word from YG. All i gotta say is Interscope here comes Se7en, everyone is saying YG is tight with Interscope so Im hopin Se7en ends up there…There are many collabs that can be done if he goes there. Pussycat Dolls and Lady GaGa collaborating with Se7en will definitely get his name mentioned in mainstream.

    43. Syd says:

Why is RQM revealing it to a blog??
Finally a word out from YG and it’s good that they’re did nothing of a kind like what RQM had stated..

RQM is really dumb if they reveal the docs especially to AKP or any blog sites…

    44. Just move on says:

People are just too delusional! He has no chance to make it or create a stir (as some ppl think)in the US. Let the man stay in Korea and do what he is good at! He needs to be on stage and recreate the buzz.

His fans in Asia have been silently supporting him while he was in the US and this war between RQM & YG is not helping at all. Some fans have already left due to the inactivity of his US venture. He needs to rebuild and so called start from ground zero in Korea.

The previous scandal with PHB has damaged his standing and he needs to win back his fans with his music not just talk about whatever could have happened in the US. YG needs to come clean with what’s going on and let Se7en get on with what he loves doing. I love the man and it hurts to see his career going down the tubes! I’m sure there are others who feel the same way.

    45. MissLadyBunny says:

he needs to drop RQM and find a better agency and step up his music. He has a chance but he has to work his ass off to get it. Just like any other American artist he is gonna have to start from the bottom up. He needs to find the right people so far he’s gotten the half ass deal.

    46. DUYEN says:

GOSHH MAN THIS IS SO CONFUSINGGG STUPID RGM SERIOUSLU UHH POOR SE7EN OPPA! :(

    47. Se7en will be releasing a new album in Korea and Japan says:

      guys have you read this

After 3 years of absence, Se7en will be releasing a new album in Korea and Japan
      [newsen Lee JaeHwan reporter]

Singer Se7en will comeback on stage in Korea after 3 years of absence.
Se7en, who had been preparing for a debut into America’s music industry since 2006, recently returned home. Also, he is planning to continue his Japanese activities, which have been canceled due to his entrance into America. It seems like this will be happy news for his Korean and Japanese fans who have been waiting for him.

An associate of YG Entertainment, Se7en’s agency, said, “It has been decided that Se7en will release a new album this year. It will be released in Korea and in Japan at the same time, and he is planning to do activities as well.”

In addition, “Se7en has not ended plans for American activities. He will take his time and officially make an appearance in the American music industry.”

Se7en formally debuted in America after releasing his digital single ‘Girls,’ which he produced with popular producer Dark Child and which Lil’ Kim featured in.
